Up freight between Milford Tunnel and Duffield
View northward, towards Ambergate, then Chesterfield, Sheffield etc. also Matlock, Buxton and Manchester on the ex-Midland trunk lines from London, Birmingham etc. via Derby. The train is a Class D freight, running on the Up Slow; a Down freight is visible in the distance on the Down Slow. (In those days this was an idyllic spot in the Derwent Valley on the A6).
