Infrastructure works
I presume this is work being carried out to the local water supply, looking at both the colour and size of the exposed pipe work, but the usual sign saying who was working here seemed to be absent.

Paxton Close
Paxton Close off Ladybank Road was a very quiet cul-de-sac, but at the end of it is now the New House Farm development. At least there will be no road connection through the close but the view instead of being countryside will be a housing estate.

Mickleover Manor
Built in 1849 in 'retrained Tudor style', the house has had a varied history. By the 1930s it had become a school, later becoming Woodlands Hospital (still referred to as such in the Listing description) and more recently it has been split into a number of individual residences, with one part being retained as a residential care home. Listed Grade II.
