Little people of Derby
Near schools on St Chad's Road, models of children with bold yellow tops. Studies have shown that motorists actually take more care in urban streets when there are fewer, and sometimes distracting, road signs. These figures say "Watch out, Kids about" quite clearly, without words.

Parking on the pavement
With the recent call to ban such parking, you see the problems it may cause, because if the cars were not on the pavement then any emergency service ambulance or fire engine could not travel along the road!
