Tesco Express (The Blue Pool)
The Blue Pool was opened in May 1936. It was the third of three pubs with identical designs to be opened in Derby by the local brewers Offilers (now part of the Bass group). The other pubs sharing the same art deco style design, resembling ocean liners, were The Blue Peter at Alvaston (Image]), which opened in January 1935 and The Blue Boy at Chaddeston (Image]) which opened in January 1936.
The Blue Pool was converted (http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk/Fear-store-giant-looks-pub-conversion-moves/story-11562290-detail/story.html ) and reopened as a Tesco Express store in March 2010.
