Derby Road
The end of old Derby Road, once the main road to Nottingham. The traffic island just visible connects to the link road which leads to the A52 now the main road to Nottingham. It is renamed the Brian Clough way. This is in honour of the football manager who managed both Derby County and Nottingham Forest leading both clubs to heights never since achieved.

Old Milepost by the A6005, Derby Road
Cast iron post by the A6005, in parish of DERBY (DERBY District), Cherry Tree Hill; near Asda supermarket, in tarmac path beside hedge, on North side of road, in front of #132 Derby Road. Derby iron bobbin, erected by the Nottingham Road (from Derby to Risley) turnpike trust in the 19th century.
