A52 Spondon bypass
Looking north east toward Derby, this is where the A52 splits the old Borrowash Road, since renamed Stoney Lane to the north whilst retaining its old name to the south.

Old Milepost by the A6005, Nottingham Road
Cast iron post by the A6005, in parish of DERBY (DERBY District), between Spondon and Borrowash, in front of hedge, on North side of road. Derby iron bobbin, erected by the Nottingham Road (from Derby to Risley) turnpike trust in the 19th century.
Inscription reads:-

Footbridge over the A52
The A52 or Brian Clough way is a very busy road and hence the footbridge is here to allow people to cross safely. Especially needed as just over the bridge is Asterdale Primary School and no doubt many children cross to go to school and back again to home.
