Old Boundary Marker by the B5008 Newton Road in Burton on Trent
Municipal Boundary Marker against the parapet of the bridge over Dale Brook on the southeast side of the B5008 Newton Road. The vertical legend reads BURTON UPON TRENT / BOROUGH BOUNDARY with the foundry name PP HALBAND / BRITANNIA / FOUNDRY horizontally at the base. Erected 1878 to mark the boundary of Burton on Trent borough. At that time in Winshill parish, Derbyshire, now on the boundary of Winshill, Staffordshire and Newton Solney, Derbyshire.
