Looking north-east from the Trent and Mersey Canal about 140 metres from Branston Lock. This scene no longer exists, as it has been completely built over with the new Quintus industrial units site (2022). The modern buildings on the skyline are by the A38 Lichfield Road.

Branston Lock - 2
The overflow weir and channel for this lock runs on the towpath side. The grill leading to the underground section is designed to trap debris, which will be periodically raked upwards to remove it.
