Mansfield Road Derby
A lot of new building has been happening over the past few years that has improved this area of Derby considerably. A long time ago it was St. Mary's Wharf Goods yard and very run down.

The flood prevention wall
Along the side of City Street is the brick wall topped with glass panels which is the flood prevention wall. The glass panels do improve the view of the lower storey of the houses to the left, otherwise the windows would look out onto a plain brick wall.

St Mary's Bridge, Derby
Elegant three-arched bridge with pedimented niches in each pier, and balustraded parapet. On the recommendation of John Carr, by Thomas Harrison, 1788-93. Grade II* listed.
It carries Duke Street over the Derwent.
