The INTU entrance
I am attempting to cover all 100 centi squares in this grid SK 35 36 but this centi-square is inside the entrance to the INTU Centre and so is probably not a true Geograph but at least it is in the correct grid centi-square.

Derby's monstrous carbuncle - viewed from Osnabruck Square
Arthur C. Clarke would no doubt refer to Derby's new Westfield shopping centre and multiplex cinema as a "monolith", whereas the Prince of Wales would use the phrase a "monstrous carbuncle". Either way, it's a complete blot on the landscape of this ancient town. If the intention was to build a hideous and featureless grey box which towers over the centre of Derby, then it is a success. Clearly architecture (defined as "the profession of designing buildings.... ....usually with some regard to aesthetic effect") is no longer a form of art!

Looking at the Derbion
The Derbion is the relatively new name for the shopping centre formerly known as Westfield and before that it had other names. Why new owners think a change of name makes any difference is beyond me!
