Slack Lane Derby
This view shows the fairly new housing built on an old industrial site on Slack Lane. Somewhere on this lane used to be the world's largest camera, but sadly it was destroyed when the business moved elsewhere.

The old Great Northern Railway Line
As can be seen the tracks have all been removed but so far the land has not been redeveloped. Perhaps this is so because of the scrap metal recycling business to the right of the fence which is both noisy and suffers from potential pollution problems.

Great Northern Road
Running approximtely parallel to Uttoxeter Road Great Northern Road is a mix of small businesses and some housing. To the right, but out of view, are some newer houses built on the grounds of the old Bishop Lonsdale Training College
