The Strand Arcade, Derby
This Grade II listed entrance dates from 1881. Sadly, many of the shops in the arcade are empty as the centre of gravity of shopping in Derby moves inexorably towards the opposite end of town.

Strand Arcade
The entrance façade on Sadler Gate. See http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2355025. The architectural style is more of a match with the other façade on The Strand itself, which is Listed Grade II. It is not clear whether the listing includes the whole of the Strand Arcade.

Bar 56 has been a shop, cafe and bar over the past ten years. It is part of the Strand Arcade which connects Sadler Gate to the Strand in the centre of Derby.

Entrance to the Strand Arcade
This entrance is on Sadler Gate. The arcade runs through to The Strand at the other end.
The original photograph was in colour, but a problem with the camera meant that it did not record the colours properly. It therefore looks better in black and white.
