Kirriemuir Old Parish Church
Ninth-century stones were found when the church was rebuilt on this earlier Christian site in 1788 to a design by James Playfair, father of William Henry Playfair. The steeple was completed in 1790.

The Wee Red Toon - Peter Pan
Kirriemuir with its red sandstone buildings is known as "The Wee Red Toon". Kirriemuir is also well known as the birthplace of Sir JM Barrie, creator of "Peter Pan" - this replacement statue was made by the original artist, Alistair Smart, and erected in the High Street in 1994.
