The church was built in 1906 by Susan Gray (from the local Gray-Cheape estate) in memory of her husband, Charles Gray who died in 1884. The building is rectangular in plan and has a bellcote, porch and rear chancel area. The church is built in coursed sandstone tooled blocks, with some areas of rubble stone. There are simple dressed surrounds and the roofs are slated.
