The Aboukir
The pub and restaurant have recently been renovated and there is a large beer garden. The name has a connection with egypt which I can't remember and I believe this was once a temperance hotel.

View into Carnoustie from West Haven railway bridge
The railway cuts through West Haven and at the time of construction caused great controversy amongst local inhabitants. The houses on the northern side of the line are extremely close to the line. Most of these are cottages with their former gardens now occupied by the railway.
