My husband's gg grand father lived in this house in the early 1900's, and we believe he built it. It is at the junction of Panmure Road and Kirkton Road in Monikie.

Affleck Castle
This 15th Century castle or tower was originally named Auchinleck (Gaelic for Field of Stones) Castle. It is situated outside the village of Monikie, Angus. It is only visible from the roadside in winter and it is not open to the public. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affleck_Castle
