Broughty (Brochtie) Ferry is a suburb of Dundee situated four miles east of the city centre on the north bank of the Firth of Tay. Formerly a prosperous fishing and whaling village, the area was a separate burgh from 1864 until 1913, when it was incorporated into Dundee (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broughty_Ferry Wikipedia).

Holocaust memorial in Windmill Garden, Broughty Ferry
Windmill Garden is named after the windmill which once stood on this site and was dismantled sometime in the mid-nineteenth century. This tribute to the victims of the Holocaust was unveiled in January 2015.

Holocaust Memorial garden
The memorial plaque in this Broughty Ferry garden was unveiled by local school pupils in January 2015 on the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz camp. The plaque reads 'To the six million Jews and the other victims murdered in the Nazi death camps and to all who have experienced the horrors of genocide and the destruction caused by predujice and discrimination - We will remember'
