Mains Castle
The Castle was built by Sir James Graham in 1562. Arranged around an inner courtyard the tower and a number of other buildings are still in good condition and are used as a marriage venue and restaurant. the western side of the castle has a small gate that opens into an area which has the appearance of an amphitheatre. I guess that this was a formal garden although it is now grassed over.
