Kirkton, Dundee
Kirkton is an outer city local authority housing estate built in the 1950s to house many of the families who were displaced by inner city redevelopment.

The disappeared Gelly Burn
Up to the late '50s there existed here the Gelly Burn. It has either dried up or gone subterranean. To the left of the wall there was a short footpath. The photograph was taken from a point close to the site of a small stone built bridge.

Former YMCA Playing Fields
Now the grounds of Kingspark School,these extensive grounds once had a pavilion used by YMCA Cricket Club and also by its football club known as YM Anchorage. The pavilion was situated about half way along the southern edge of the grounds. The north west corner was occupied by a small tennis pavilion and four courts.
