Balgay Cemetery
Opened in 1871, Balgay Cemetery is part of Greater Balgay and was purchased from the Balgay Estate of Sir William Scott in 1869 and developed as a park from about 1871.

Balgay cemetery, Dundee
The old cemetery was extended in the 1970's. By the 1980's all places were allocated and a new cemetery was opened at nearby Birkhill.

Commemorative stone in Balgay Cemetery
The stone is dedicated to the memory of 10,000 peopple buried here in unmarked graves between 1870 and 2004.
