Cox's Stack
Cox Brothers was the largest jute manufacturing concern in the world and by 1885 employed 5000 people. A small part of Cox's Camperdown Works in Lochee has been preserved, along with this remarkable chimney known as Cox's Stack. It is 282 feet (85 metres) in height and was built in 1866, inspired by the design of an Italian campanile.
