The Caird Hall
Prior to the demolition of the main tower of Tayside House, a lower connecting building was demolished allowing a full view of the rear of the premises. The demolition of Tayside House is part of the regeneration plan for the centre of Dundee.

Caird Hall
Completed in 1923 designed by city architect James Thomson and named after James Caird the Jute Barron. The destruction of the Town House built by William Adam in 1771 and a number of medieval buildings like St. Clement’s Church and graveyard had to be to make room for the hall.
