A chance visit to Optical Express to get my son's glasses fixed gave me an opportunity to take some photos inside. My gratitude to them for allowing me to take the photos. This is the intricate carving over the doorway of what was probably a bank. Image

Stained glass window, Dundee Cathedral
Detail view of a stained glass window in the Cathedral at Dundee. The window depicts Christ, with Moses and Elijah on either side. The window represents a combination of the earthy and heavenly vision: “What we see now is like a dim image in a mirror - then we shall see face-to-face” [1 Corinthians 13: 12]. The design is by Hardman & Co of Birmingham.

The B-listed Renaissance-style triangular block (see: http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/sc-25251-94-96-high-street-52-54-commercial-street ) 94,96 High Street was built as a bank but is now an opticians.

Dome in the roof
