Building on Ward Road
For some reason I think this building could have been a police station only from the lamp that can be seen over the door.

The Salvation Army Lighthouse, Dundee
That is the building's current purpose. However, it was originally the Girls' Industrial School. It dates from 1855. Initially, to be sent here was more or less the result of misdemeanours but that function later moved to a larger building on Blackness Road. Later it was simply a hostel that gave accommodation to the women who dominated the jute industry's workforce. Owned from 1900 by the Salvation Army.

Lindsay Street Mill, Dundee
The stone building with the tower is not a religious building but rather a textile mill for jute spinning. The current building dates from 1874 by architects McLaren and Aitken. It replaces an earlier building that burnt down. The mill is of fireproof construction except for timber roof trusses. An engine house is in the yard but I am not sure I could identify it as such. It is now converted to flats, a pub and a night club.

1 Courthouse Square, Dundee
Dating from 1927 with art deco touches. The Canmore listing (235298: https://canmore.org.uk/site/235298/dundee-29-ward-road-bank ) identifies it as a former bank, but no further details are given. The ground floor appears to now be occupied by a tutorial agency.
