Site of former Elliot Junction station
View SW, towards Dundee etc.: ex-Caledonian & NB Joint (Dundee & Arbroath) section of the Edinburgh etc. - Dundee - Aberdeen main line. Until 24/5/65 a branch to Carmyllie turned off to the right here. The station was closed 4/9/67.

View NE beside A92 road, towards Arbroath, Montrose and Aberdeen: ex-NB & Caledonian (Dundee & Arbroath) Joint main line, (Edinburgh/Glasgow) - Dundee - Arbroath - Montrose - Aberdeen, junction of Carmyllie branch. The station closed 4/9/67, the branch had closed to passengers 1/12/29, to goods 24/5/65. (See also Image]).

Railway at Elliot
This is the main railway line to and from Aberdeen. This is the site of Elliot Junction, where the long-defunct Carmyllie Branch that served the quarries at Carmyllie joined the main line.

Site of former Elliot Junction Station, Arbroath
Looking from the footbridge crossing the tracks along the line towards Arbroath. The island platform of the former Elliot Junction Station sat in between the tracks on what is now an area of grass.

Bridge, Elliot Junction
A strange bridge across the railway near Arbroath. You go up, across then halfway down and back up again to cross another track. Presumably a leftover from the Elliot Junction Station which was once here.
