The old stone buildings, on the right, are dwarfed by the modern additions to the maltings. It is one of nine maltings complexes operated by Pauls Malt Limited.

Glenesk Maltings
The grubby appearance is probably due to a grain fire a few weeks previously (10th August 2009). This is a malting plant only now, the distillery having closed sometime previous to 1992 when the licence was not renewed.
