Sir Robert Peel was the founder of the first police force in the United Kingdom.
That is how the name Bobbies originated, they were also known as Peeler's.

This property has been lying derelict for several years. A planning application was lodged with Angus Council in 2014 to retain the facade of this and adjacent properties and build a new hotel, but the application was later withdrawn in October 2015.
