Old and St Andrew's Church, Montrose
This magnificent building is in the main street and is the highest building in Montrose. A true landmark when coming into the town from any direction. "Built in 1791 to replace a bell tower built in the 16th century. Initially hat seating for 2,700 people. The steeple built in 1832 was designed by Gillespie Graham." Taken from a plaque on the side of the building which I somehow forgot to photograph!

Bow Butts
Bow Butts is the street to the right of the building here, and to the left is Baltic Street. The dark plaque above the shop front is the street sign bearing the name 'Bow Butts'. The polished granite panel above this and below the circular window tells that this was St George's Free Church Hall, dating from 1885. It now houses, on the ground floor, the David McNairn Black Belt Academy.
