Beach Amusement Area
An adventure playground and other facilities beside the beach. Not that they look all that enticing on such a grey afternoon.

Minesweeper Statue
Keeping the beach safe from mines is this sculpture by local sculptor William Lamb. Lamb’s representation of the strength and character of the seafarer past was installed at the seafront in 2000, but washed away in storms of 2010 to be re-instated to resume its duties soon after.
