Dock Buildings
It's sad to see this elegant 18th century building abandoned and threatening to fall down. I hope that a suitable use can be found for it.

Future Paper
One of the important commodities imported through Montrose is wood pulp for manufacturing paper, though even paper mills are becoming scarce in Scotland - I was told that there are now only two left. This huge warehouse is devoted solely to the storage of bales of wood pulp.

Peeping Tom, Montrose
The cat may not be a tom, but it makes a good title. The cat was spotted peeping down one of the many alleys in the town.

Old Warehouse
Given the historic links between Montrose and the seaports of the Low Countries, it isn't surprising to see a hint of dutch-style building in the gable end of this old warehouse. The green-and-yellow tractor is sweeping the quay with a rotating brush attachment; much of the rubbish seems to be scraps of wood pulp.
