Maidstone Road, Upper Ruxley, Kent
This is a very interesting photograph. The main road running away westwards from the photographer is Maidstone Road, and is officially the B2173. But until the Sidcup Bypass (out of picture to the left) was built in the 1950s, it was the A20. That, however, is not the whole story, for branching away on the left can be seen Old Maidstone Road - the even earlier route to London from this part of Kent.
