Former brewery buildings, Gravesend
Russell's Gravesend Brewery for most of its earlier life, taken over by Trumans in 1930 who closed down brewing not long after, but continued using the site for bottling. These maltings are the main surviving buildings, now residential.

1 Clifton Slipways and 50 West Street, Gravesend
The low premises are in Clifton Slipways and are associated with a small wharf beside a small barge dock. The dock and wharf yard (on the left) are disused, but the building is currently occupied by a fencing contractor. The small size suggests it is merely an office.
The house 50 West Street appears to have been a sort of gatehouse for the adjacent Commercial Wharf, which is now occupied by new build flats, some are visible. It looks as if it has been retained as a house for a caretaker or similar. West Street is unusual in that the street numbers run sequentially from 1 east to west up the south side, returning sequentially from 50 down the north side.

Russell's Gravesend Brewery for most of its earlier life, taken over by Trumans in 1930 who closed down brewing not long after, but continued using the site for bottling. Only the maltings and offices survive, now residential, possibly the offices are still offices for other firms. The red brick offices are grade II listed.

Gravesend West Street railway station (site), Kent
Opened in 1886 by the Gravesend Railway as the terminus of its line from Longfield, this station closed to passengers in 1953 and completely in 1968.
View north west from Stuart Road. There was a long platform and covered walkway stretching round onto the pier, visible to the right. To the left was a small goods yard. The main building was roughly where the trees on the extreme left now are.
