The footbridge connects Bestway Wood on the right with Nursery Wood on the left. A footpath allows walkers from Barnton access to the A533 Runcorn Road (to Northwich).

Working narrow boat on Trent & Mersey Canal (1)
Loaded narrow boat 'Mountbatten' of the Anderton Canal Carrying fleet heads towards Anderton. 'Mountbatten' was built as recently as 1960 by Yarwoods of Northwich for the British Waterways Board. It still exists, see http://hnbc.org.uk/boats/mountbatten
