Bridge Cottage, Burland
This black-and-white cottage stands by the Llangollen branch of the Shropshire Union Canal, immediately south of Wrexham Bridge (no. 6). The twisted chimney stack is typical of the area, but is not usually found on a timber-framed cottage

Burland village stores - closed, Cheshire
We couldn't buy our milk here today, and never will again. With a population of 582 in the 2001 census, I doubt they will have a store again. Permission to convert this into a three bedroom house was granted in January 2009.

Narrowboat 'Luckie Mucklebackit' is 47 feet in length, and built by J I Pinder and Son, Stoke Prior.
Luckie was a character in Sir Walter Scott's 1816 novel, The Antiquary.
(I don't know where this boat has gone since Mike passed away).
