The Cotton Arms, Wrenbury
Parts of the building date from the 16th century although it is named after Sir Stapleton Cotton, 1st Viscount Combermere 1773-1865, a local landowner. The board is advertising the forthcoming football World Cup semi-final between England and Croatia - which England would lose.

There's an old mill by the stream...
... where you may sit and dream (with a pint of ale if you like!). It has been converted into a popular public house called the Dusty Miller, in Wrenbury, Cheshire, by the Llangollen Canal.

The Dusty Miller in Wrenbury, Cheshire
This popular and smart Robinson's public house receives good reviews for meals and real ales and is very popular with the gongoozling fraternity who like to watch activity by the busy canal basin and lift bridge for possible boating mishaps ;-)
The building was formerly a corn mill, and was converted in the 1970s. It also has a farm shop.
