Completed in November 2006, the new doctor's surgery between the primary school (Image) and the recreational ground (Image) replaces a tiny bungalow off the village green. The large parking area eases congestion in the village centre

Hawk House, Wrenbury
Hawk House is a grade-II-listed cottage, dating from the early 18th century, in the centre of Wrenbury village next to the post office (left; see Image). Formerly the Hawk and Buckle inn, it is among the oldest buildings in the village. A public footpath runs through the gap to the right. Wrenbury Village Stores
Although not a substantial place, Wrenbury retains the essential services: a shop/post office, two pubs and a railway station. In the background of this picture an elderly couple can be seen making their way to church on a Sunday morning.

Wrenbury Post Office and Village Stores
This small post office, set back from the road in the centre of the village, doubles as the only shop in Wrenbury and also serves tourists on the nearby Llangollen branch of the Shropshire Union canal. Few of the surrounding villages have any shops; the one in nearby Ravensmoor closed a year or so ago
