Llangollen Canal near Hurleston Junction, Cheshire
Approaching the original Hurleston Bridge (No 1) which, because a newer and wider road bridge just visible beyond it has been built and taken its number, has now been renumbered Bridge No 1A. Neither of the maps directly usable from this page even acknowledge the existence of two bridges.

Hurleston Bridge south of Barbridge in Cheshire
This was bridge No 1 across the Llangollen Canal until the new bridge beyond it was built, so is now No 1A. The bridge carried the old A51, which is now detached from the newer wider road to the north which crosses the current Bridge No 1.

Hurleston Bridge Number 1
The former Number 1 Bridge over the Llangollen Canal is now Number 1A Bridge and is just through the arch. The new bridge was built as part of improvements to the A51 Nantwich to Chester road.

Llangollen Canal at Hurleston Bridge in Cheshire
The bridge is south-west of Hurleston Locks, and carries the A51 road. The original Bridge No 1 (now 1A) is just beyond. Many maps still do not show that there are two bridges.

Hurleston Bridge (no 1)
