Former workhouse, Barony Court
Constructed in 1780, the former workhouse building follows a U-shaped plan, with three storeys; an entrance block is adjacent (out of frame on left). Between 1930 and 1994, it formed part of Barony Hospital. Now named Bevan House, the building is currently used by the NHS. Beam Bridge north side
Beam Bridge was widened and strengthened with a concrete structure in the 1970s. Looking under the arch you can see the contrast of old and new side by side. It is finished off with a brick facing, differing quite remarkably with the south side.
