Churche's Mansion is a grade-I-listed black-and-white timber-framed Elizabethan mansion house. Bench mark on 148 Hospital Street, Nantwich
This bench mark is on the front wall of 148 Hospital Street, next door to the famous Churche's Mansion. The mark may be number 53 on the First Geodetic Levelling survey line between Newcastle under Lyme and Chester, 1851-1858, however, the 18th century house was re-modelled in 1891, so it is also possible that this is a later mark.

Roundabout at Churche's Mansion, Nantwich ? 1963
Then still subject to heavy through traffic; Millstone Lane was the recognised through route for A51 traffic avoiding the town centre. An unflattering view of the Grade I Listed Churche's Mansion, it was taken as part of a student study visit to the town when the impact of traffic on the environment would have been an element.
