Nantwich: St Mary's church, east end
Often called "the cathedral of south Cheshire" from its stately proportions. The red sandstone is very typical of the area; the octagonal tower is unusual here or indeed anywhere. Seen from the car park on The Gullet, an area that has seen considerable redevelopment opening up what was previously an area of narrow alleys and yards.
