Traffic-free Nantwich High Street
Ahead are two half-timbered buildings - on the left is the Crown Hotel, a Grade I listed Elizabethan building. The three storeyed building was burnt down in the fire of Nantwich in 1583 and quickly rebuilt by Queen Elizabeth I, with timbers from the nearby Delamere Forest.
