The Manchester Pullman
Class 86, 86251, brings The Manchester Pullman into Crewe. The service was introduced in 1966 between Manchester Piccadilly and London Euston with specially built mkII coaches finished in pearl grey and blue livery. The train operated in this form until 1985 when the coaches were replaced by mkIII stock including standard class seating. When Virgin took over the running of the route in 1997 the Pullman name was dropped.
