Crewe Municipal Buildings and The Crown
Crewe Municipal Buildings were built in 1905 by the Edwardian architect Henry T Hare. They are not known as the more usual 'Town Hall'. On the right is The Crown hostelry.

Rocket on the roof
A weather vane in the shape of Robert Stephenson's Rocket adorns the roof of the Municipal Building in Crewe. The design reflects Crewe's connection with the railways since the opening of Crewe station in 1837.

Municipal Buildings
Grade II listed English Baroque style council building dating from 1902-5. The building contains the Council Chamber, Mayor's Reception Room, Committee Rooms and Staff Offices. The Council Chamber can be hired for weddings.

Crewe Municipal Buildings were built in 1905 by the Edwardian architect Henry T Hare. Once the offices of Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council, they now come under the auspices of the Cheshire East Council.
