Probably not many people use this path, as most will drive to the remote church and use the car park Image An inscribed stone at the top of the path records that it was relaid in memory of Col. Frederick Finlow (died 1959), former Churchwarden; a second plaque attributes the later handrail to the "church queens" (presumably the May Queens, a rural custom that seems to remain strong in Cheshire).
