Railway south of Moss Lane, Elworth
The railway between Crewe and Sandbach is four-tracked. The nearer pair, called the Wilmslow Lines, carry most passenger traffic; the further pair, called the Manchester Independent Lines, are mostly used by freight (of which there is not much).

Harry Mortimer Way, Elworth
One of several new housing developments on the edge of Elworth, this one being by David Wilson Homes. The road is named after Professor Harry Mortimer (1902-1992), conductor of the once world-famous Foden's Brass Band that was based in the town.
