Bramley Wood estate - side road
Unlike the spine road of the estate which is straight and has pavements, the side roads are 'wavy' in layout and have no pavements. I presume the intention is to slow vehicles down and treat the roads as shared-use spaces. Time will tell whether this is successful.

A distant view of Jodrell Bank
The radio telescope is 10km away from this point at the edge of the built-up area of Sandbach. The 'buffer zone' of the telescope's World Heritage Site, intended to 'protect the scientific capabilities of the Observatory from radio emissions in its vicinity, contributing to maintenance of the functional integrity of the property', extends to the fish farm 375 metres away. I'm not sure whether that prevents any new house construction within the zone.
