Substation on Bradwall Road
Larger than the normal suburban substation, I guess this facility on the edge of Sandbach steps down high voltage power to supply the town.

Roadworks on Bradwall Road
The one-way traffic working seemed to be related to ongoing work at the substation a little further along the road Image The turning to the right serves the overflow car park of Sandbach Rugby Club.

The Old Smithy, Bradwall Road
Now a private house, the large archway in the wall facing the road would presumably have been the smithy itself. It is adjacent to the Small Brook, but I doubt that it would have been a water powered industry, though presumably water from the stream would have been used to quench the iron.

Sandbach RUFC ground
The ground has several pitches. The club was playing (at the time of submission) in the North 2 West League, according to their website http://www.sandbachrufc.co.uk/

Traffic priority on Bradwall Road
An artificial width restriction, with priority to traffic leaving town, to encourage traffic entering the urban area to slow down. The priority sign is unusually high, maybe because tractors and lorries serving farms form the bulk of traffic on this road. It also has a solar powered light, as is the trend.
