Former Sandpiper pub, The Hill, Sandbach
According to CAMRA's Whatpub website, the pub had closed by 2015. Asset of Community Value status was granted on 21 December 2015 but it looks as if thee community group failed to get enough backing for a takeover and the building is now up for let.

Hill House (old building), Sandbach
This is a grade 2 listed property dating from c.1870 and 1912 (list entry 1330402). In the mid-late 20th century it became the Leonard Cheshire Home, in which role it is now superseded by a newer purpose-built facility next door Image It is now vacant, but reputedly haunted by the ghosts of former residents.
