Offley House
The house once had extensive lands on the edge of Sandbach but they were sold from the 1960s onwards for housing developments, leaving the old house with just a couple of acres. Photo taken from the gate to the drive, off a public road (Congleton Road).

Adlington Drive sewage pumping station
The pumping station is at the lower end of the original (1960's) part of the Tatton Drive estate, pre-dating the houses built further down the hill in the 1980s. It therefore presumably only serves the earlier development.

The "Black Path"
This path running through a green corridor between the streets of this housing estate has been known as the "black path" by locals at least for the 30 years that I have known the area. The name may have been inspired by nothing more than the bitumen macadam surface, or it may have some more historic significance.
