Shops at the bottom of the High Street, Sandbach
These shops are the last at the bottom of the High Street before the Old Hall. As of 2017 they comprised Williams and Lowe (funeral directors), Pink Feather (fashion) and J Hopkins & Son (painters and paperhangers).
Like many of the buildings on Sandbach High Street they are listed (grade 2, list entry numbers 1130356 and 1159844).

This building (45 High Street) was, I recall, a clothes shop until recently, but currently a restaurant. Like many of the buildings on Sandbach High Street it is listed (grade 2, list entry number 1159843); the listing attributes it as "late C16 or C17 origin but much altered".

Piste, High Street, Sandbach
Another change of name. This building (45 High Street) was a clothes shop until about 2013, but then became a restaurant called Folks Image It has now changed its name again to a more risque one.
Like many of the buildings on Sandbach High Street it is listed (grade 2, list entry number 1159843); the listing attributes it as "late C16 or C17 origin but much altered".

Cubar, High Street, Sandbach
The building is now a Cuban themed bar, but was most recently called Piste Image, before that a restaurant and previously a clothes shop. Like many of the buildings on Sandbach High Street it is listed (grade 2, list entry number 1159843); the listing attributes it as "late C16 or C17 origin but much altered". The weather on this October day was anything but Cuban.

The George Inn, now a Wetherspoon
The pub is not a new one (in fact it dates from c.1810, and is listed grade 2, list entry number 1330397). But it had recently (November 2013) been taken over by the J D Wetherspoon chain. They retained its historic name. See also Image
